I'm Dominic Liriano, a first-generation college student studying Fire Protection Engineering at the University of Maryland. Raised in Maryland by a single mother who broke barriers as the youngest and first female captain in the DC Fire Department, and inspired by my father who immigrated from the Dominican Republic and became a government contractor, I learned resilience, responsibility, and ambition from an early age.
